Each blanket has an internally bonded waterproof layer made from 100% recycled Thermoplastic Polyurethane (TPU) - a non-toxic, BPA-free, food-safe material. The blanket absorbs liquid without soaking through, on both sides. 

Each blanket can hold up to 1 litre of liquid while keeping your surface underneath completely 100% dry.

Lifespan depends on care & washing frequency, but most remain waterproof for 1+ years with proper care. Some of our original 2020 blankets are still going strong!

Absolutely! They’re perfect for puppies, kittens, incontinence, post-bath snuggles, and travel. Just watch out for sharp claws, as they may pierce the waterproof layer.

The blanket stays in place fairly well, but if you’re tossing, turning, or… getting creative in bed, it may shift slightly. If you need a more secure option, consider our Bamboujee Fitted Waterproof Sheets.

The top layers absorb moisture over time, so it may feel damp after heavy spills. However, the waterproof layer prevents anything from soaking through. Our most fast absorbing styles are The OG and Furlush.  Simply toss it in the wash and you’re good to go!

Yes! We have a range of fabrics to suit sensory styles. Our Bamboujee sheets are especially great for sensitive skin, sensory issues, or texture preferences, as they’re silky smooth, lightweight, and hypoallergenic. Our Furlush is ultra smooth and best for those who don’t like the texture of sherpa fleece. 

You can fold it up and store it like any other blanket. If you need a compact option our blankets come with a waterproof carry bag for easy storage and travel. Since it doesn’t look like waterproof blanket you can also display it on your bed or couch like a throw - no one will know!

Yes! Splash Blanket is perfect for camping, van life, and outdoor adventures. It's waterproof, easy to clean, and keeps moisture from seeping through to the ground. We find sticks and leaves can get caught in the sherpa fleece so recommend any of our other styles besides the OG for camping and outdoors activities. 

Unlike the alternatives, Splash Blankets are plush, soft, and ultra-absorbent - no uncomfortable crinkling or sticky plastic vibe. Plus, we continuously innovate to bring you a wide range of high quality materials, styles, and sizes.

Line dry or tumble dry on low heat for a maximum of 30 minutes. Overheating can melt the waterproof layer, making the blanket crunchy and ineffective. Avoid ironing or dry cleaning.

Since Splash Blankets absorb bodily fluids, oils & lubricants, odors may linger if not washed thoroughly. For odor removal, try:

1. Wash with extra detergent & a longer spin cycle.
2. Add a tablespoon of bicarb.
3. Use warm (not boiling hot) water to kill bacteria.
4. Dry in the sun or tumble dry on low heat.

Large and Jumbo blankets take longer to dry - if damp too long, they may develop a musty smell. If needed, wash & dry at a laundromat with bigger machines available. 

**Hot tip: Having multiple smaller blankets makes washing & drying much easier!

Some sound is normal due to the waterproof TPU layer. If it’s crunchy, it may have been overheated in the dryer. The blanket will likely still be waterproof but may feel stiffer. Our bamboujee or OG style is the most quiet if you’re sensitive to sound.

We also have distribution centres in London, Netherlands and Chicago.

Your privacy is important to us. We use discreet packaging without any external branding. All parcels will display “Splash Blanket PTY LTD” as the sender.

All our orders are typically shipped within 1-3 days of receiving the order, except for in sales periods, which may take 7 days or more.

For domestic deliveries in Australia:

• Standard: Allow 2-6 business days for delivery once dispatched. 
• Express:  Allow 1-3 business days for delivery once dispatched. 
• Please note that choosing express postage refers to the shipping method and does not mean immediate dispatch.

For international orders, we offer two shipping options:

• DHL Express: Transit time varies but typically between 2 to 10 business days. Some countries may experience delays due to factors such as COVID.

Please note that import duty and taxes may be payable on your order depending on the trade agreements your country has or with Australia. 

It is your responsibility to understand your country’s regulations, as you may need to pay these duties to release your order. We are unable to quote this amount, as they vary by country.

Splash Blanket is not responsible for any import charges, duties, or taxes for international sales. In some cases, packages can be delayed due to matters outside of our control.

If your local customs ask for an invoice, then your order confirmation is your invoice.

If your order contains items marked as ‘pre-order’, it means these items are not in stock, and we are waiting for new stock to arrive at our warehouse. Please refer to your order confirmation for estimated dispatch dates, which are subject to change based on supplier shipping status. 

To avoid multiple shipping fees, All items will ship altogether only when the pre-order item is ready to be dispatched. If you wish to split your shipment please email us at hello@splashblanket.com to arrange a second shipping fee for in-stock items

All discount codes must be applied during the checkout process. It is not possible to add a discount code after your order has been placed. We are unable to issue refunds or store credits if you neglect to use a discount code. Any orders found with more than one offer will be cancelled without notice. You can still use your discount code on any new orders, as long as the code is still valid.
